For the holidays, the Grand Floridian offers one of my favorite holiday decorations: a Gingerbread House! In years past, I have boarded the boat from the Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian in search of this Gingerbread House.

If your favorite childhood fairytale was Hansel and Gretel or if you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to live in a gingerbread house, you have to go to Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian during the Christmas season and see their two story tall, life sized gingerbread house. The chimney even puts out smoke.

Every year around Christmas, Walt Disney World builds a super colossal holiday gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's sixteen feet high, uses real gingerbread made from a traditional Austrian recipe, and if the cottage had hot and cold cocoa pipes, you could probably live there.

During the holiday season, Disney does it up with decorations and treats galore. For those of you who are not traveling to the World this holiday season, there is a way to bring home those tasty gingerbread treats that everyone is talking about.
