During the Disney Decade, a program was offered that you could purchase a hexagonal brick paver to be placed around the Seven Seas Lagoon, creating a walking path starting at the Magic Kingdom and closely following the monorail route. When they started selling the pavers back in '94 I just happened to be in WDW with my Grandma & she let me buy a brick (I think I was 15 years old). Luckily, because it was early in sales, my brick is right in front of the ticket turnstiles at the MK, which is AWESOME. I visit it every single trip. A couple years ago they were nice enough to let me "refurbish" my brick to add my husband's name & the new location where we live. It makes me feel like there's always a little part of me at my "second home."

Wow! DGNJ, that's incredible!

Whoops! Double post!

I don't know if the paver refurbishment program still exists. It was kinda shrouded in mystery when I did it a couple years ago, but I know I am going to be DEVISTATED the day those pavers all dissapear :( It's been such an important part of Disney to me.
