Of all the major contributors to the creation of the Haunted Mansion, the most elusive is Claude Coats (1913-1992). That is primarily because no interview with Mr. Coats on the subject has ever been published, to my knowledge, and not a great deal of his Mansion-related artwork has been out and about either.
