Photos taken as Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Sweetums debuted Disney’s Honorary VoluntEARS Cavalcade in front of a cold, damp Magic Kingdom crowd this afternoon. It’s a pre-parade of sorts, tooling along before the daily 3 p.m. Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade.

On its official blog, Disney Parks is providing a first look at a rehearsal performance at Disneyland for the new daily pre-parade beginning today at both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts starring Kermit, Miss Piggy and Sweetums.

Now visitors will be able to see the characters in the Disney parks. Beginning Friday (Jan. 8), each afternoon Kermit, Miss Piggy and Sweetums will be part of a pre-parade celebration at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and at Disneyland in California.

Highlights include new walls around the parks for the Red Line work at DCA, the draining of the Rivers of America, as well as the new pre-parade the Honorary Voluntears Cavalcade featuring the Muppets.

Tomorrow's Academy Awards ceremony will be a star-studded event filled with some of the most well-known names in Hollywood. Among these legendary celebrities, it was announced, will be Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy.
