One of my favorite places to visit in Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM) is in the area encompassing Pixar Place, Mickey Avenue and Animation Courtyard. There is so much to do and see that you can spend a good part of your day here and not realize it. ‎3D Shows at Walt Disney World are a lot of fun, since they sometimes include another dimension that transforms it to 4-D (feels and smells added). If you saw A Bugs Life in the movies than you know what It's Tough to be a Bug has as it's theme. Enjoy this week's SIGN IT!

July 9th was the 10th Annual Pixar Motarama. Its a giant car show right on the Pixar Studios lot where employees invite in some amazing cars, show off their own special vehicles, and share their love of the automobile with each other. This video features an interview with John Lasseter, the chief car lover himself.

The Walt Disney Studios announced today their complete programing line-up for the first D23 Expo. Pixar will be well represented on the fourth and final day of the event. John Lasseter will host the Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios presentation and will "discuss and show materials from" the studios' upcoming slate of animated films, including Toy Story 3.

For the most part Disney movies are fun to watch and kids really love them. If one takes the time to look under the surface, however, one will find some valuable life lessons to be learned from these movies.

John Lasseter runs Pixar; if, like him, you were also the director of Cars, would you really want to have the director of The Incredibles at your elbow? Bird's continuing presence at Pixar would have been an uncomfortable reminder of just how much better a director he is than his longer-tenured colleagues, not just Lasseter but also Andrew Stanton and Pete Docter.

There was a panel called "Imagineering Pixar for the Disney Parks" that had a fascinating conversation with Imagineers, Animators and Lasseter which any fan of the Lamp should love. Here for you to see is that panel, in eight glorious YouTube chapters.

You have to love the people at Pixar Animation Studios for their creativity even it come to the most unlikely of places like the bathroom. The silhouette picture above of “Woody” from the “Toy Story” franchise the movie that put Pixar Studios on the map is what marks the men’s restroom and the silhouette picture below of “Little Bo Peep” also featured in the “Toy Story” franchise is what marks the women’s restroom at Pixar.
