Walt Disney World allows guests to make dining reservations starting at 180 days out from the reservation. Yes, six months ahead of time, you can book a meal.

Disney has decided to start requiring a credit card guarantee for many restaurants starting on October 26th, 2011. This is in addition to the practice they started over the summer of disallowing double bookings at restaurants.

Dining at Walt Disney World can be a wonderful experience. There are dozens of outstanding table service restaurants and many more counter service venues many of which are also quite good. I’m not going to talk about particular restaurants or even the Disney Dining Plans, I’ll leave that to your judgment.
