Disney World has two different water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. A lot of visitors don't want to budget two days for water parks so they ofter ask which is better. Unfortunately this isn't an easy question but have tried to break it down and hopefully it helps you decide which is better for you!

At Walt Disney World Resort, guests can choose between a mountain ski retreat and a tropical getaway to take the proverbial plunge into water fun at two of the most popular water parks in North America:

Take the plunge! The 12-story, high-speed drop from the top of Mount Gushmore, that is. Instead of catching a wave like at Typhoon Lagoon, here Guests catch some air. The ride towers 30 feet above its mountain base and is built to resemble a ski jump. The 8-second zoom down the 360-foot flume sends riders slightly over vertical then straight down and through a short tunnel under the jump at 50-60 miles per hour.

If you're a fan of Disney Imagineering, Disney World's Blizzard Beach water park is a must-do. In our opinion, it houses one the most creative and well thought out themes on Disney World property!

The routes to the top of Mt. Gushmore at Blizzard Beach, as well as their associated attractions, are color coded for easier way finding, but there's storytelling at work here, too. The directional graphics and signs are meant to evoke the spirit of the Olympics and similar winter sports venues.
