One of the Disney Theme Parks’ main goals is to make you feel like a kid again when you’re visiting, and a great way to do that is to offer you some favorite candies from your childhood! Let’s take a look at a few of the sugary sweets you can find in the parks that will surely bring back memories…

Two posts ago I talked a little bit about Duffy the Disney Marketing Bear, and how his marketing campaign seems to be borrowing from the Transformers/He-Man/GI-Joe playbook from the ‘80s that used commercials disguised as entertainment to sell toys to kids. Now, I’m going to tackle a somewhat-related topic: how Licensed Characters have taken over Disney theme park attractions, and why it’s kind of our fault.

Even though the economy is limping along and showing signs of a double-dip recession, Walt Disney World might see a sliver of hope in data compiled by credit-card giant American Express Co.

According to the data, one segment of tourism consumers is beginning to spend a little more at theme parks. That segment? The super rich.

The Disney imagineers are always busy working on new concepts and ideas to bring to the parks but, not all of their ideas make it off the drawing board and past the planning stages. There was however one particular project that almost made it when Michael Eisner was in charge of Disney. It was 1992 when the plans for Disney’s America started to leak out and on November 11, 1993 Disney issued an official press release.
