Toy Story 3 is coming out on DVD next month. This is the movie, you'll recall, which hit headlines not just because it made more than a billion dollars worldwide (a record for an animated movie), but because of all the reports that it made grown people cry.

Woody, Buzz, Jessie and the gang strap on their skates for the latest touring Disney on Ice show from Feld Entertainment, “Toy Story 3.” The show stops at Orlando’s Amway Arena this weekend. The kids I observed at a preview performance in Lakeland last week were entertained as the toys took to the ice. Here are answers to questions some grown-ups might have about the show:

After already becoming the highest grossing animated film of all time and passing the impressive $400 million dollar mark domestically a few weeks ago, Disney/Pixar’s “Toy Story 3″ has now achieved yet another distinction. Today, Disney reports, “Toy Story 3″ will become the third Disney film to gross $1 billion, joining 2006’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and this year’s remake of “Alice in Wonderland.”

By now you've heard the tales of tears shed during Toy Story 3. Typically, the media seems to be missing the point in their throwaway analysis of the hows and whys of these teardrops.
