Flanked by actress Mandy Moore and characters from Disney’s “Tangled,” legendary composer Alan Menken received a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame last Friday in a ceremony held near the historic El Capitan Theatre.

The songwriter, who was responsible for a string of wildly successful Disney musical scores in the 1990s, has won a total of 8 Academy Awards and 10 Grammy Awards.
