Upon entering Disneyland Park, we’re floated into the land of nostalgia as we revisit places and memories that we’ve experienced in the past. This phenomenon exists because of the continued traditions that weave the past and present together – traditions like hand pulled candy canes!

After hearing about Disneyland’s hand made candy canes, I put it on my bucket list. Something I’d have to do at least once in my lifetime. So, why not take care of it now and share it here on the Disney Food Blog?

Today, we’re discussing the homemade goodies from the Main Street candy stores at Disney World and Disneyland, which means I get to talk about Disneyland’s Candy Palace! And let me say right up front — this place is all about the homemade! You know they’re famous for their homemade candy canes during the holiday season, but they’re making homemade candy — front-and-center — every single day of the year here.

The 35-year tradition of making fresh candy canes is set to return Friday to Disneyland.

Disneyland guests often line up for the chance to buy a limited number of the newly made sweets. Others crowd around the windows to watch teams of candy makers stretch the liquid-like sugar into hook shapes.
