Character Study: Gaston vs. The Beast
When I first started writing the piece I wanted to analyze Gaston outside the context of Beauty and the Beast and really focus on him as a character unto himself. I thought Gaston could stand out as an original villain. The problem with this became that the more I looked at Gaston the more I realized that he had many parallels to one of the other characters in the film.

I wanted my first movie review for “The Zone” to be about the first Disney movie I ever remember seeing. Now I say all this and I am actually a fan of Treasure Planet and think its story is lovely. But I’m not looking at the traditional Treasure Island story.
