Period piece from 1956 Bobby Burgess Talks About Frontierland

There has been a lot of excitement at Disney World lately, hasn't there? With the opening of the new Fantasyland, the new Pirates of the Caribbean attraction and the new Test Track, it's hard to remember that there is more still to come! In the lobby of the Disneyland Hotel’s Frontier Tower (formerly the Wonder Tower and originally called the Bonita Tower) you will find the original Big Thunder Mountain Railroad model in a large plexiglass case.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is filled with the stuff of legend. I’m not being whimsical here, there are artifacts and tools of the trade hanging upon the walls from not only Pecos Bill himself, but Davy Crockett, Kit Carson, Jim Bowie and a host of others.

If you’ve been following the Gazette for a while, you know that Davy Crockett and Zorro are two characters whom I adore and wish they had a stronger presence in the Magic Kingdom, and Walt Disney World as a whole.
