As a child, one of my all-time favorite Disneyland souvenirs was the map (still is–at least the vintage ones). As I set out on my path of preserving Walt Disney’s legacy through oral history, one of my all-time favorite WED Imagineers became Sam McKim, who as it turned out did the artwork for my favorite souvenir, the map.

Editors Note: When we last left Buddy Robinson, he had just rode his bicycle past the home of Robert Disney on Kingswell Avenue. Buddy suddenly remembers that he wants to check what's playing at the Vista Theatre, so he points his bicycle south off Kingswell onto Hillhurst Avenue. He travels the four blocks to the corner of Hillhurst and Hollywood Boulevard where the Vista is located.
