April crowds at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort have always been a bit of an enigma. Holidays like July 4th, Thanksgiving and Christmas are super crowded but at least they are easy to predict because they stay in the same place on the calendar every year.

One of my favorite off the radar restaurants in Walt Disney World is the Kona Cafe. This eatery is one of the most overlooked restaurants at Walt Disney World. While its neighbor, O’hana, always proves to have a huge wait even for those who have made their Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) months in advance.

When we see a lot of changes to park schedules this close to the dates it tells us that crowds may be higher than originally thought. We have become accustomed to Disney changing its park hours recently so we were prepared – a little bit.
