The Rivers of America at Disneyland were recently filled after being drained for for several months. I had a chance to stop by the park today and check it out. The Columbia was closed when I got there and the Mark Twain was still in drydock, so I went over to Tom Sawyer Island.....oops, I mean the Island Formerly Known as Tom Sawyer........

Today we are going to pay a visit to a resident of Tokyo Disneyland....actually a resident of several of the Disney parks. This is Beacon Joe. He can be seen while riding the Mark Twain Steamboat around the park's........

This is Lounge Alley. Lounge Alley leads to Club 33's Main Dining Room, which we saw in my last post. It's also the location of Club 33's bar.

This Disneyland advertisement is from the Los Angeles Times and is dated July 20, 1986....25 years ago! I'm a little confused by the text at the bottom, stating that Magic Journeys was still playing. I know that Captain EO premiered at Disneyland in September of 1986......

Today, in honor of the Haunted Mansion's 42nd anniversary, we have yet another item from my childhood. It's the Disneyland Record and Book, "Walt Disney Presents The Haunted Mansion" from 1970. This is a "little" long playing record and has a different story and different artwork than the larger LP that was sold around the same time (the one with Ron Howard voicing one of the characters). ........
