Polaroid operated a Camera Center on Main Street USA from 1979 to 1984 (GAF from 1971 to 1977, Kodak 1984 to 1989. In 1989 it was incorporated into the Main Street Confectionery). GAF and Polaroid sponsored the Guides to the Magic Kingdom, paperback booklets listing each attraction, shop and restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. Prime space was dedicated to advertising the film products and offering handy tips on taking great photographs.

Another great tombstone in the series of Haunted Mansion "who were they" tombstones. Wathel Rogers was a long time veteran of the Animation Department before moving to WED Enterprises in the mid-1950s. Initially part of the model department, Rogers' true calling emerged when Wat Disney drafted him for his now famous "Project LittleMan" which was the genesis of the development of audio-animatronics.

Our 13th and final tombstone is dead-icated to X. Atencio. (The "X" standing for Xavier.) He joined the Disney Studio in 1938 and worked on numerous animated features through the 1950s.

During one of the final scenes of Monsters, Inc., you get a glimpse of the Astro-Jets poster hanging above the child's bed. Of course, this is a pre-1964 poster. This kid must really be into Vintage Disneyland or his parents kept it for him. Or maybe he found it on Ebay!

A few weeks ago, we featured artwork from the upcoming Wii-exclusive video game, Epic Mickey. One of the featured villains in the game is going to be Dr. XXX from the 1933 Mickey short, The Mad Doctor, which can be found on Walt Disney Treasures - Mickey Mouse in Black and White.
