A wedding spotlight on Vanessa + Kris, who got married at the American Adventure pavilion at Epcot and had their reception at The Living Seas.

Charlotte and Mark are supposed to be getting married in Walt Disney World in just a couple of days, but they've been stranded in the United Kingdom due to the volcanic explosion in Iceland.

I've been seeing a trend, lately, of wedding parties, disneymooners, or trash-the-dress sessions doing things that involve getting into the lakes on Walt Disney World property. Many of these lakes have signs that warn against swimming in the lake, but I feel like many vacationers believe that the warnings are just for gators and other sharp-toothed critters, so dipping in the occasional toe or taking a quick swim is no big deal.

like the decorations and the favors and the yummy food and all the chatting, but I really have a hard time with most shower games. I've had to do everything from making toilet paper wedding gowns to picking a plastic ring out of a "wedding cake" made out of bleached flower...with my teeth!

If sticking to one color sounds a little boring, you can definitely punch it up by adding an accent color. An accent color is a color you use to add a little something to your main color. Usually, the accent color is used a bit less than the main color, so that the wedding isn't overwhelmed.

As you guys know, I like to use these "Letter from the Editor" posts to talk in depth about subjects that are important to me. Today's letter is one I hope you'll take the time to read, especially if you're still planning your big day, because it's an issue that seems to have really become something of a problem in our little Disney wedding community.

This is something of an incomplete post. I've been trying all week to get information from the folks down at the wedding office in Walt Disney World, but I can't get anyone to get back to me. (See, it's not just you guys that they aren't calling back!)

Welcome to a new week here on The Disney Wedding Blog! I'm hoping that you're out and about enjoying the 4th of July. We're about to leave for a barbecue, but I just couldn't take off without sharing the awesomeness of this new week with you.
