Main Street U.S.A. - Hyperreality and Faith
A brief look at the concept of hyperreality as it applies to Main Street U.S.A., and drawing a comparison to faith vs. "what we can see". A little more "intellectual" than some other posts, but not inaccessible to most readers.

The Partners Statue: An Extravagant Gift
This week's blog, on the Christmas theme. Walt Disney gave an extravagant gift to his family, and to all of us who love Disneyland (and other Disney parks), and the Partner's Statue is our reminder of that. But God's gift to us that began on Christmas is much more extravagant!

Storybook Land Canal Boats: Created to Create
This week, our theme is "creating". For me, it's been the website for my wife's massage therapy business in Orange County, Crane Massage Therapy (http://bit.ly/cranemt). For Walt Disney, it was Disneyland (and more). For God, it's everything! How does what we do reflect Him? Read on!

The Sword in the Stone: It’s not What Others Say or Do
Have you noticed what effect your relationships have on how you view yourself and what you are willing and able to do? I know I have.
Good relationships contribute to feelings of confidence, security, and love, etc. On the other hand, bad relationships can lead to fear, self-doubt, and even self-loathing.
But what does that have to do with Disneyland, especially the Sword in the Stone?

Indiana Jones Adventure: Integrity

Meeting Mickey Mouse: The Parable of the Wedding Banquet
When my wife and I took my parents to Disneyland for their 40th anniversary, we had the pleasure of getting a series of Magical Moments. Of course, no Disneyland Magical Moment is complete without meeting “The Big Cheese” himself, Mickey Mouse. Being taken to meet Mickey was a very interesting experience, since the proper outfit was required of the person escorting us. How does that apply to us now?

Walt’s Apartment: “Never Will I Leave You”

The Disneyland Railroad: Keep Your Level Full!
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to take a tender ride on the Disneyland Railroad, and I wrote about a lesson learned on that ride. Last week, I was able to take another tender ride, and learned another valuable lesson....The Disneyland Railroad crew refills their train’s boiler when it gets down to about half full, so that it never risks getting too low. Our internal boiler needs the same kind of attention and refilling.

Does a marionette's strings hold it down or raise it up? And can we ever be free of being "tied" to something (would we even want to)?
