Mickey’s of Hollywood, which runs along Disney’s Hollywood Studios Hollywood Blvd. and includes Disney & Co. Fashion Extras and Pluto’s Palace, features one of the most unique views of Mickey available anywhere on property. Starting at the front of the store, near the park entrance, a guest can move through the store and the progression of Mickey’s animation.

With the current revival of quality books coming out about Walt Disney World, including pictorials, art books, and histories, it is often easy to overlook the unique offerings from the early years of the Walt Disney World Vacation Kingdom. One such book, A Fun-Filled Visit to Walt Disney World with Mickey Mouse, was created just for children and released in 1972.

Whether you know it as Blackbeard’s Island, Treasure Island, Discovery Island, or the obscure Raz Island, the sanctuary that sits in the middle of Bay Lake has been a part of the Walt Disney World landscape since before Disney owned the land.

The entrances to each of the parks feature a land or area dedicate to creating a break from reality and further involve guests in the story they are taking part in. Between the lack of retail space and attractions, coupled with the steep incline guests must endure for the breathtaking view of the Tree of Life, there is not a single area in any park that is rushed through more often than the Animal Kingdom's Oasis.

The innovation of mankind leads the way for guests that as they enter Future World West (The Land, Imagination, and The Seas pavilions) in a series of pavestones. This courtyard, referred to as Inventor’s Circle or the Discovery Tiles, was added to Epcot in 1998 and showcases the great achievements, breakthroughs, and explorations of the human race.

Situated along the winding route of the Maharajah Jungle Trek is the Anandapur Community Hall, nestled against the Bat Cliffs. Inside, like most community centers are bulletin boards with newspaper clippings, photographs, upcoming movie posters, and community advisories. This particular story is about the local bat population, the good they do for the area, and what people can do to aid the bats.
